How do you top the year Allan Jiang had in 2018, winning the Caesar and Consul award in his second year of attending? You repeat the feat while accumulating a record 304 laurels, topping the previous high of 295 by Stefan McCay. Allan Jiang won his second first Caesar award in style, accumulating more laurels in PBeM play (174) than anyone did at WBC, including himself.

His 308 laurel performance was the best all-time, becoming the first to garner more than 300 laurels in one year. Allan earned wins at WBC in Brass and Castles of Burgundy as well as wins in the Advanced Civilization and Through the Ages Play-by-Email (PBeM) tournament. He supplemented these wins with four 2nd place finishes, two 3rd place finish, a 5th place finish, and a 6th place finishes.

His WBC total of 134 laurels beat all of his competitors for the Caesar award as he was the only person in the Caesar top 10 to earn laurels in a PBeM tournament. Allan's 174 laurels in email tournaments more than doubled his closest competior in PBeM, Alan Applebaum who posted a respectible 68 laurels.

Rounding out the top six BPA competitors were Chris Wildes who managed 4 wins at WBC, Matthew Hathrell with 3 WBC wins, Micah Mcormick, Rich Meyer, and Dominic Blais with 2 WBC wins each. Nick Henning's streak of third place finishes cam to an end, James Pei kept his top 25 streak alive with a 7th place finish, now at 12 straight years. Only five of last year's Top 25 players managed to retain that top billing led by Caesar winner Allan Jiang. Others able to retain their Top 25 standing in 2018 were James Pei, Rich Meyer, Dominc Blais, and Sceadeau D'Tela.
