Julius Caesar brings the drama of the Roman Civil War (49-45 BC) to life. Players take control of the legions of Caesar or Pompey and fight to determine the future of Rome: republic or empire. Marc Antony, Cleopatra, Octavian, and Brutus also play key roles. It uses the popular Columbia block game system and a deck of 27 cards.

The map depicts the major theatre of operations during the Roman Civil War.

This event will be three rounds of swiss with the top four players advancing to elimination play. Players will bid levy points for sides with the highest bid getting their choice and the other player receiving those extra levy points during their first levy of the game. Players will randomly determine who will bid first. Additionally, for balance purposes, the Julius Caesar player will automatically go first on the first card play of the opening turn.
