What? Euro Quest is a unique blend of tournaments and open gaming. Download the flyer.

Why? Euro Quest will provide a competitive forum for the play of popular "European" style boardgamers in a focused, in-depth format not available elsewhere. All tournaments will be run to provide multiple opportunities to compete in the same game with a minimum of three preliminary heats preceding the elimination rounds.

Tournaments: Main event tournaments will run from noon Thurs., Nov. 3, through 3 pm on Sun., Nov. 6. Tournaments will include Agricola, Dominion, Power Grid, Princes of Florence, Puerto Rico, Ra, St. Petersburg, Settlers of Catan, Stone Age, Ticket to Ride, Thurn and Taxis, and 7 Wonders, which is the HOT new game for 2011. The schedule is available on the EuroQuest website or download it. BPA plaques will be awarded for each event and best overall individual performance, providing plenty of laurel opportunities for those who want to improve their standings in BPA's annual Caesar competition.

Wild Card Event: Up to 15 different titles in a unique, free-form format. Games to be included for 2011 are 7 Wonders, Alhambra, Automobile, Can't Stop, Carcassonne, Endeavor, Lost Cities, Race for the Galaxy, Roll through the Ages, and Vegas Showdown, along with several other titles to be named, including a Hot New Essen game to be named by Oct. 30, 2011.

Open Gaming: Dedicated open gaming space will be provided in the main gaming hall during the entire duration of  the convention—from 11 am on Thurs., Nov. 3, through 8 pm on Sun., Nov. 6, featuring the Euro Quest Game Library.

Essen Games: There will be gaming space dedicated to demonstrations of several hot new Euro-games directly from the international gaming convention in Essen, Germany. Details on specific games will not be available until a few days before the convention.

Vendors: We expect to have several vendors at Euro Quest 2011.

Where? Euro Quest takes place at the Hilton Pikesville, 1726 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208. Phone: 800-283-0333 or 410-653-1100. It is off I-695 Exit 20, Reisterstown Rd. Route 140 East. See map and directions for location details. Accessible to Baltimore Metro Subway, Old Court Station. Hotel shuttle to subway station available. A special rate of $109 per night has been obtained for Euro Quest Attendees. Rates are $119 for triple occupancy and $129 for quad. Please mention "Euro Quest" to obtain the special rate and to add to our group's room count. Room options include one king or two double beds. Non Group room rates are $149 or more plus tax. Room reservations must be received by Thurs., Oct. 20, 2011, to be guaranteed the special group rates. After this time, our room block will be released to the general public or sold out.

NEW FOR 2011: Please be advised that all guest room reservations under this year's room block are subject to a 72-hour cancellation notice requirement (i.e., individual reservations must be canceled prior to 72 hours before anticipated arrival date to avoid one nights and tax penalty). All credit card reservations will be charged one night's room rate at the time of reservation. A $100 security deposit will be required of all cash paying guests upon arrival.

Please exercise restraint in reserving guestrooms only to cancel them later. Such practice harms our ability to continue to host Euro Quest at this facility. We ask that you do not reserve a guestroom until you are reasonably sure you will be able to keep that reservation. And if the need to cancel does arise, please cancel as soon as possible, preferably before Oct. 20. If the Hilton is sold out when you attempt to make your reservation, please call back on Oct. 20 before booking elsewhere to check for any cancellations.
