RATE: The BPA convention Room rate is $108 per day for one-to-four guests per room. Applicable state taxes bring that total to $122.04. A check or money order covering the first night's stay, or submission of the entire number of your major credit card including expiration date and signature is required to make a reservation. No reservation will be accepted unless secured in this manner. Reservations cancelled after 5 PM EST on Wednesday, July 1st, 2004 will be assessed a one night's room and tax penalty to their credit card or forfeit their first night room deposit. Specify any other guests with whom you will share the room at the time of your reservation.

Check-in time is 4 PM. Check out time is noon.

After 5 PM EST on Wednesday, July 1st or when our contracted block of rooms sells out, whichever occurs first, rooms are subject to availability and may be charged higher rates. Rates cannot be changed at check-in or check-out for those failing to identify their BPA affiliation at the time of the reservation.

ON-LINE RESERVATIONS: If you choose to use Marriott's on-line hotel reservation system instead, follow these directions:

* The Food & Beverage Voucher program of 2003 has been discontinued.

1. Call the hotel at 410-785-7000 weekdays between 8 AM and 7 PM EST. If sold out, ask to be put on a waiting list for a callback. They are obligated by contract to do this. Be persistent. If the person you talk to is unable to help you, ask to speak to a supervisor. However, you can expect this service only if you call the hotel direct. The national on-line reservation service or 800 number will not do this.

The problem here is a common one caused by your fellow gamers who reserve rooms and then cancel them when they make other plans at the last minute to share rooms or go elsewhere. The room then goes unused and is sold to someone inquiring after you did. Attendees have so abused this privilige in the past that we are now forced to require a mandatory deposit for a room reservation. If you cancel your room after July 1st, you will forfeit the deposit. Hopefully, this change will make the reservation system more equitable and available for everyone.

2. Check out the other hotels in the area as listed on our website. All are within easy driving distance of the free parking at HVI. A few are even accessible by foot by riding the light rail. Check out the site for details.
