Class C: Coached Event Inexperienced players welcome. The game will be taught to anyone present at the scheduled starting time. GMs may also schedule a demonstration for the Event. Coached events generally require more time and effort to run and can be upsetting to more experienced players impatient with delays. Announce at the outset, that all players are expected to abide by the C rating and help newcomers.

2022 Tournament Format  HMW-P

In Adel Verpflichtet, also known as Hoity Toity and By Hook or Crook, players are eccentric, aristocratic collectors who attempt to buy the greatest collection of obscure items at the auction house and exhibit them at a number of castles and palaces around Europe; the best exhibits gain prestige and movement around the board. But beware! Thieves may appear at the auction house to steal money paid for items or the items themselves when exhibited. Detectives may catch thieves who spend time in jail until their parole, while the Detective also gains movement around the board. Finally, when at least one player crosses the finish line, all the players have one more exhibit and the one who ends up farthest along the track is the winner.

2022 Tournament Format

This is a coached event -- come to any heat and learn how to play in just a few minutes! This year Adel Verpflichtet will be running three separate heats and a demo.

In each heat and the semi-final, everyone will play two games (though players with just one hour available may play just one game). The result will be determined by adding the scores of both games (the points are 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for 5-player games and 5, 4, 2, 1 for 4-player games). Pairings will be made to have as few 4-player games as possible.

Each heat is a separate entry for qualifying for the Wednesday afternoon semi-final. The number of advancing players will be 10 based on the Standard HMW-P tiebreakersThe same scoring apply in the semi-final.

The Final will be a single five-player game.

HEATS: MOST WINS - POINTS (HMW-P):Tie-breakers are:
