From the creator of Suburbia: in this tile-laying game players are tasked with building an amazing, extravagant castle for King Ludwig II of Bavaria...one room at a time. You see, the King loves castles, having built Neuschwanstein (the castle that inspired the Disney theme park castles) and others, but now he's commissioned you to build the biggest, best castle ever - subject, of course, to his ever-changing whims. Each player acts as a building contractor who is adding rooms to the castle he is building while also selling his services to other players.

Each player takes a turn as the Master Builder, setting the price for the weird rooms the King is demanding, trying to find the right balance of prices that keeps his pockets full while denying the choice rooms from his opponents. Rooms provide bonuses based upon connected and adjacent rooms, and all builders are vying for points based upon the King's demands and their own personal set of goals. The end results are castles of great stature and little sense.

Games will be 4-player whenever possible, reducing to 3-player contests as needed based upon attendance. The semifinals will admit 8, 12, or 16 winners and best runners-up using the Heats Most Wins -Points Standard Tiebreakers; the winners (and best runners-up, as necessary) within the semifinal will advance to a 4-player Final.

This will be played with the basic game; the new expansion rules will not be included.

HEATS: MOST WINS - POINTS (HMW-P):Tie-breakers are:

  1. Most Wins (e.g., total in all heats entered)
  2. Most Second Places
  3. Fewest total points behind first place in second place finishes. Not playing in a heat counts as an N/A for this criteria, not 0 points
  4. Fewest total points behind first place in all finishes. Not playing in a heat counts as an N/A for this criteria, not 0 points
  5. Fewest Heats
  6. High dice roll.
