2023 Tournament Format  Heats Most Wins - Points

Annapurna is a game about climbing the world’s most dangerous mountain. Each game will have 4 players attempting to attain balance on their mountainside while preventing other players from attaining balance themselves. Laying traps, bluffing, planning ahead, and sabotaging other players can all turn against you with a flip of a card.

Flags will be awarded based on how well-balanced players are at the end of each ascent (round). First player to reach 9 flags wins. If 2 players get to 9 or more flags on the same ascent the one with more flags wins. A tie in flags goes to the winner of the final ascent, IE the person who was awarded 3 flags.

Second, third, and fourth will be awarded based on the following formula:

  • Number of flags
  • Who got second, third and fourth in the final ascent

This event will have 3 heats followed by a semifinal with 16 players and a final of 4 players.

Advancement to the Semifinal will be based on the Heats Most Wins – Points Standard Tiebreakers.

The 4 winners of the semifinal will advance to the final.

Additional Prizes: The 4 finalists will get a $5 off coupon for Annapurna at the Canton Games Vendor Booth in addition to WBC’s prize.

HEATS: MOST WINS - POINTS (HMW-P):

  1. Most Wins (e.g., total in all heats entered)
