Class C: Coached Event Inexperienced players welcome. The game will be taught to anyone present at the scheduled starting time. GMs may also schedule a demonstration for the Event. Coached events generally require more time and effort to run and can be upsetting to more experienced players impatient with delays. Announce at the outset, that all players are expected to abide by the C rating and help newcomers.

Maneuver your way to victory in classic Ben-Hur style.

Circus Maximus details the chariot races that occurred in ancient Rome. Teams race around the track three times to determine the victor. Players prepare for the race by selecting the composition of their team of horses, driver's skills, and the type of chariot they will drive. Once the race begins, the players are free to do as they wish to hamper the other racers, including whipping the rider, ramming chariots with scythed wheels, smashing into horses, and running over wrecked opponents.

The Heats will consist of up to seven races, each using 15mm miniature horses and chariots. Players will be distributed as evenly as possible, up to 9 drivers per table.

Key Tournament Rules:

Advancement will be determined by the Heats Most Wins-Points Standard Tiebreakers

Semifinal race(s) will be utilized based on the number of advancing players to fill out a Finals Starting Grid of 8 or 9 drivers.

HEATS: MOST WINS - POINTS (HMW-P):

  1. Most Wins (e.g., total in all heats entered)
  2. Total Points – Players earn the following pints in each heat they entered:
    • 1st Place - 1,000 points
    • 2nd Place - 100 points
    • 3rd Place - 10 points
    • 4th Place - 1 points
    • All other places - 0 points
    • e.g. player has a 1st, 2nd, and 4th in three heats: total points would be 1,101
  3. GM Specific Tie-breaker - None Specified
  4. High dice roll.
