2023 Tournament Format  Heats Most Wins - Points

Who will be the most successful knight in the kingdom? The tournaments will test knights of all ages, and only one will be victorious. Use your cards to win the jousting competitions, and to fight with your sword, axe, or morning-star. Rally your squires, gain the support of a maiden, and play action cards against your opponents.

This year Ivanhoe will have three separate evening heats, advancing winners to the Semifinal and Final. The classification will be B (Beginners welcomed) with a teaching demo before the first heat. The rules for the tournament play will be straight out of the box, with 4-player and 5-player games (four different colored tokens will be required to win the game). Any game reaching 90-minutes will be adjudicated at that point, except for the Final round.

POINTS PER GAME

The game ends when one player wins their fourth colored token. Players will receive points for each token in their possession at the end of the game, as follows:

  • Purple token – 105 points
  • Green token – 104 points
  • Yellow token – 103 points
  • Blue token – 102 points
  • Red token – 101 points

GUIDELINES FOR ADVANCEMENT

Heats Most Wins – Points Standard Tiebreakers will be used for advancement to the Semifinal. There will be three chances to enter Heats, followed by a Single Elimination Semifinal and Final. Twenty-five players will advance to the Semifinal with the 5 Semifinal winners advancing to the Final.
