Come try out Rio Grande’s hottest new game!

There are lots of times that gamers say to themselves that they haven’t seen new mechanics in a game for a while. Space Station Phoenix will change that. Each player starts with 9 ships and is trying to build the best space station. The new twist, however, is that the best way to get materials for your station is to dismantle your ships. So, over the game your actions get limited by which ships you have dismantled out of your fleet. It’s a neat, new way of playing out a worker placement game.

The tournament will be run over two heats with a Seifinal and Final using the Heqats Most Wins Points standard tiebreakers for advancement. All games will be run as 4 player with 3 player games as needed due to player counts.

The Semifinals will be played with all heat winners playing (or top 16 heat winners if more than 16) and then alternates to fill to 6, 8, 12, or 16.

In the case that 4 or fewer heat winners show for the Semifinal, the Semifinal will become the Final.

Look forward to seeing you out there to try this out!
