Battle Line is a card based game from GMT Games. It is best described as Alexander the Great meets three-card poker, without the betting. It plays fast at 20-30 minutes a game. We typically get 50-70 players, of all skill levels. You’re guaranteed to play at least 3 games, and most people are done in 2 hours. Come join us!
About the tournament:
Play will be Round Robin Swiss portion in 4-player groups for the first round so that all players get to (and must) play a minimum of three games. Only Swiss pod winners will then advance to single elimination play immediately afterwards. The whole tournament will be done in one night.
A few notes:
If you come to play, you are playing for the entire first round of three games, which is two hours long, win or lose. You cannot drop out in the middle of a round - at least not if you ever expect to play again. However, you are not obligated to advance if you are eligible to do so
- Each group of 4 players will play 3 round robin games against each other. The best record from each group will advance to the single-elimination bracket,/li>
- We will be using the Advanced Rule found on page 4 of the rulebook. You can only claim a battle flag at the START of your turn
- Guile Tactics cards cannot be used to alter the play of an Environmental Tactics card (Official GMT Ruling)
- Minimal record keeping is required of entrants
Additional Prizes: Additional Prizes will be provided by the publisher, GMT Games.
