Jewel of the Nile

Ra! is Reiner Knizia’s classic auction game, featuring a dynamic press your luck mechanism and an Egyptian theme. Players use their bids to win the favor of the Pharaohs, develop their civilizations, build monuments, and cultivate farmland; but if they wait too long to bid, they risk coming away with nothing! Disasters can also appear to thwart players’ plans, making the game both tactical and strategic in equal measure.

The game is played over 3 rounds, with multiple auctions providing constant player interaction. The player who best navigates the luck of the draw and the mayhem of the auctions will win.

Advancement

All Heat winners advance to a Quarterfinal and multiple winners will likely receive byes directly to the Semifinal. Beginners are welcome as long as they attend Monday’s demo.

A Semifinal and a Final follow the Quarterfinal. 25-player Semifinal and 5-player Final are preferred, however, it may be necessary to cut to a 16/20-player Semifinal and 4-player Final, depending on the number of unique Heat winners.
