America 250 Anniversary Party

Enjoy cake and cash bar as we gather to celebrate the 250th Anniversary Year of American Independence. There will be period music, a few brief remarks and other special commemorations. You do not have to play in the Battles of the American Revolution tournament to participate. Everyone is welcome to attend.

American Revolutionary Trivia

Join the Bloody-backs or the Yankee Doodles to refight the American Revolution, trivia style. Six rounds of trivia will correspond to 1775, 1776, 1777, 1778-1779, 1780, and 1781. Prizes will be awarded to members of the winning team. This event is part of the Battles of the American Revolution 250th Anniversary Celebration. Everyone is welcome to attend.

B-17 After Action Meeting

B-17 After Action Meeting to report the results of the missions of the previous day. There will be a prize table where people will pick out something going from the person with the lowest score to the highest. Please bring something to contribute to the table.

Band of Brothers Redux

Like most World War II combat veterans, my late father, Private First Class Walter Dworschak, never talked much about his Army combat service. Were it not for the picture of Dad in uniform wearing the Bronze Star Medal, his Combat Infantryman’s Badge, and other medals which were displayed in the hallway of my childhood home in Champaign, Illinois, one might never have guessed that he was once a green draftee infantryman who fought the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge during the frozen winter of 1944-1945.

WBC After Action Meeting

With the convention being a full 9 days, many are departing on Saturday. Therefore, the discussion of WBC week in review has been moved up a day, allowing those wishing to leave either Saturday or early Sunday to get an earlier start.

Yoga for all levels

This seminar on yoga is designed for ALL levels of participation from beginners through experienced yoga practitioners. This is to get us up and moving for focus, stretching and staying limber during our many hours of sitting at the WBC. Full body stretching with a focus on the back and hamstrings that allows each participant to modify to how their body feels.
