The Stone Age Tournament will consist of three Heats of 4-player games (three 3-player games if needed). Only winners of games will advance to the Quarterfinal.
Winners will be ranked by the Heats Most Wins - Points standard tie-breakers listed below.
If there are not 64 winners, then some winners (based on rankings) may receive byes into the Semifinal. Additionally, if all winners (who have not received byes) do not show up to the Quarterfinal, then some winners may receive additional byes. A player must show up to the Quarterfinal to receive a bye.
The Quarterfinal games will be seated in NCAA style according to players' rankings. The Semifinal will be random players assigned to tables and bidding for seat turn order following the display of all information. The Final will also use turn order bidding following the display of all information.
HEATS: MOST WINS - POINTS (HMW-P):
- Most Wins (e.g., total in all heats entered)
- Total Points – Players earn the following pints in each heat they entered:
- 1st Place - 1,000 points
- 2nd Place - 100 points
- 3rd Place - 10 points
- 4th Place - 1 points
- All other places - 0 points
- e.g. player has a 1st, 2nd, and 4th in three heats: total points would be 1,101
- GM Specific Tie-breaker - None Specified
- High dice roll.
