Trolling for Triple Digits Again ...

The tournament format remains multiple-heat/single elimination. You may play in as many of the four preliminary heats as you wish. Each heat consists of as many individual games as necessary to accommodate all comers. The GM makes adjustments to accommodate everyone, but 5- and 6-player games are the norm. We avoid 4-player games where possible. Seating at the tables is done randomly using the customary Coussis seating mechanism.

Players have the choice of playing either Atlantic Storm or Pacific Typhoon. When you arrive to register for the heat(s), let the GM know your preference in games. However, this option is only available during the heats and the semifinal round. The Final will use Atlantic Storm.

It is unlikely, but possible, that to have enough players at a table, the GM may call for volunteer(s) to play the game they did not initially request. If necessary, the GM will draft someone (typically one of the assistant GMs) for this purpose.

All heat winners are guaranteed a seat in the semifinals. There are no alternatives you must win to advance.

Tables with Atlantic Storm games must use all Optional rules (pay particular attention to the rule regarding sharing of spoils). Tables with Pacific Typhoon games use the Standard game (do not play the Chronological, Short, or Team variants).
