Tournament Format
Swiss Elimination play of the Annus Mirabilis Scenario. Players will bid VPs for sides as per Rule 12.3 in the WNW Rulebook. As per Rule 12.14, a draw will count as a victory for the French player.

Schedule
Rounds will be continuous, starting promptly at 1000 on Wednesday. Please arrive by 0930 to sign up. There will be four rounds of Swiss play on Wednesday with the top four players advancing to the Semi-finals. The time limit will be four hours per round with succeeding Swiss rounds tentatively scheduled to start at 1400, 1800 and 2200. The Semi-finals and Finals will be played later in the week when convenient for the participants.

Prize List
This tournament is well known for its additional prizes. The Champion's Warhawk will be awarded as in the past. Additional goodies will also be distributed to the deserving.

Tournament Officials
Keith Wixson (keithwixson@paulhastings.com) is the GM. There will also be two Assistant GMs who are yet to be determined. All will be playing in the event. Feel free to write to the GM with any questions about the tournament.

Tournament Rules
All Advanced Rules will be used. No optional or house rules will be used. The Official Errata and Clarifications posted on the WNW site at Consimworld (http://talk.consimworld.com/) will apply. Use of a cell phone or hand held computer while playing will not be tolerated. Use of chess clocks is encouraged but optional.

Late Arrivals, Long Games and Byes
Latecomers will be matched up with other latecomers, but risk not playing in the event (and are still expected to finish by the ending time set for the first round.). Latecomers for subsequent rounds will likely be penalized. Time limits will be strictly enforced to keep the event running on schedule. If any players disregard the time limit and appropriate warnings, the GM reserves the right to adjudicate games and, if necessary, to penalize players for slow play. Byes, if necessary, will be given to the strongest player remaining in the tournament, based upon a series of tiebreakers which will be announced prior to the start of the tournament.

Medalists (plaque winners) will receive merchandise credits courtesy of GMT.
