Back to Square One ... ASL Starter Kit #1 is a self-contained module which will let players start playing Advanced Squad Leader almost immediately. A liberally-illustrated rules tutorial teaches gamers ASL using a conversational style to teach the concepts of the game. Past ASL champion and MMP guru Perry Cocke takes up the GM reigns once again to introduce a new crop of gamers to THE game in a fast Single Elimination format with three-hour rounds. After random player pairings are made, one scenario per round is assigned from a set of fast tournament-sized (small & short) scenarios. Later rounds will see, with mutual agreement, the use of ordnance scenarios from ASL Starter Kit #2 Multi-man Publications offers credits of $30, $20, and $10 respectively to the three medalists of this event.
