formerly Global War ... formerly
Advanced Third Reich ...
In years past this event has basically been one LONG round
of the Global War Campaign Game Scenario, played in teams of
two or three. This will continue to be the case for advanced
players, although a two-player campaign game of the European
Scenario is also allowed. However, to accomodate new players,
we are introducing four rounds of shorter scenarios: North Africa,
Battle of the Atlantic, Barbarossa and Coral Sea. This will allow
novice players to learn the game system in more manageable steps.
Instruction will be provided at the beginning of each of these
rounds.
As a trial event, only one plaque is awarded. This will go
to the best play in a Global War or European Campaign Game, as
determined by the GM and assistant GMs, with input from all players.
In addition, a Best New Player certificate will be awarded to
the player with the best record in the short scenarios.
For Campaign Game players that wish to do so, and who have
already been paired for a match, the first few turns of the Global
War campaign game can be played prior to the tournament using
Warplanner.
Campaign
Game play can begin at any time on Tuesday that is convenient
to previously paired players.
The short scenarios will be played according to the following
schedule:

North Africa Scenario 7 PM Tuesday (4 hours)
Battle of the Atlantic Demonstration. 9 AM Wednesday
