WBC 2008 Juniors Program

WBC offers a Juniors Program exclusively for kids 12 and under. Children must be able to grasp rules and play independently. Many of our current attendees got their start in the Juniors ranks and have graduated to more adult fare with often stunning results. One graduate of the program was 13-year-old Rebecca Hebner who scored the first-ever WBC Grand Slam with four separate championships in 2001, one year after leaving the Juniors ranks. Other graduates are Devin Flawd and Nick Henning, who finished first and third in 2004’s first Consul competition for earning the most laurels at WBC in one year.

The Juniors Room is staffed by full-time monitors and assistants. BPA particularly appreciates the GMs of Juniors Events. These people are to be lauded for their patience and skill in working with children. Their invaluable efforts spread the hobby to the next generation. Below are the results of 2007 Junior Tournaments, listed in alphabetical order. Write-ups, when available, are in the related Event Reports.
