Rebuild the Kingdom...

Welcome to the wonderful world of castle building and knights. Torres is the latest game from designers Wolfgang Kramer and Michael Kiesling who brought us Tikal. This time you are a Spanish prince rebuilding your father's kingdom. Torres expands on the limited action points system from Tikal, adds action cards such as in El Grande and introduces a 3D element to
the gameplay. Since being released in 1999 Torres has already earned critical acclaim by winning Games Magazine's Game of the Year 2000 award. If you like strategy games with very little luck then Torres is the game for you.

The tournament format will be single elimination - a late change from the printed Pre-Registration form. The game will be played with tables of four players each unless there is an odd number of players. This means that the winners of the first round (and any second place finishers to round out to16 players) will advance on to the 16-player semi-final. The four semi-final winners will then play in the final game. If there are more than 64 players, then the top 16 points scoring first place finishers will advance.

The standard game rules as well as the variant that allows players to draw three cards and select one from their stack of action cards will be used for play. Come see what all the fuss is about and play the newest German treasure Torres.
