yes Virginia, there are sugar daddies
Nuclear Power Companies conspired to delay the WBC's first
Illuminati championship by cutting all electric power
to the tournament ballroom Saturday morning, but the Survivalists
were prepared, and the games began anyway.
Over
20 participants showed for the first round and were divided into
five tables of four or five players each. The five winners advanced
to the final.
Playing the Bermuda Triangle in both the first round and the
final, Steve Okonski claimed top honors for the year. In the
first round, he surprised his table by unexpectedly meeting the
Basic victory condition. Because there were five players, he
needed to control only ten groups, less than the 12 most players
were accustomed to.
To win the final, Steve, armed with the Multinational Oil
Companies, managed an attack to control three groups which had
the five alignments he needed.
In a power struggle Illuminati
can appreciate, the tie for third place was decided by a fearsome
arm wrestling contest with Larry Lingle (left) succumbing to Rob
Kilroy (click the image for an MPEG movie). Steve Jackson Games
kindly provided copies of their games as prizes for the winners.
