This event will be dropped one level from Century to Trial status as a consequence. It will be eligible to be run in 2006 by a new GM only as a Trial event and only if it receives sufficient votes in the Annual membership survey to return as one of the 25 Continuing Trials.

Nevertheless, even a casual observer would be impressed with Robert Eastman's showing in this game system. Not only did he win the Battle Cry event on Saturday afternoon, he immediately launched into the marathon sister-game event of Memoir '44 and went all the way to the Final in that, finishing second after seven two-game matches ... following ten games of Battle Cry ... all in one day.

Equally impressive is a tale of one of WBC's perennial nice guys, Matt Evinger who purchased an extra copy of the game so others wouldn't be turned away - in the process winning the GM's nomination for the Sportsmanship Award.
