In 2005, we held our first Triumph of Chaos tourney. Given that it had been just released at Orgins (one month previously), we really had no idea what to expect. The primary reason for this tourney was to help introduce and teach the game to WBCers. During the PoG & Hannibal precons a number of pickup gameswere played, thus introducing the game to the WBC card driven wargame community.

The actual ToC event began with a demonstration of the game on Thursday evening. Approximately 25 gamers showed for the demonstration. We spent an hour going thru basic mechanics and answering questions. After the demo, a group of nine proceeded to play a few games using the 1918 scenario. I believe a good time was had by all, based upon player feedback.

For 2006, I anticipate a "full blown ToC tourney". The tentative format will be to play scenarios in the prelim rounds and the campaign game in "the money rounds". See you then.
