2023 Baner Year For Lemmings!

We made the Century List for the first time!! 3 Plaques (And a T-Shirt) were given out this year to our jumpers.

We set another attendance record!!! 61 different players this year. Breaking the ‘old’ record of 57 set only last year. I cannot thank you all enough for supporting Leaping Lemmings year after year.

We had 16 players make it to 4 Semifinal. All of the games were closely contested with one game ending in a three-way tie for first! At 21 points each no less. What a game!

Our final 4 were:

• Mike Greason as the IQ Clan
• Kirk Harris as the Vikings
• Monica Gardner as the Ritz Clan
• Scadeau D’Tela as the Soldier Clan

Monica’s Ritz clan lead the game off with a ‘4’ card. The players decided on a double cover of the two food pellets. Not a good idea as Don of the IQ clan was gobbled up on turn two. ( Maybe not so smart after all ).

Soldier Tony grabbed a pellet on turn 6, but pressed is luck a bit too far being eaten on turn 7.

Turn 8 saw another soldier go down a Leticia was eaten, but it also saw our first jump as Vince of the IQ clan dove to a 3-pointer.

Turns 9 and 10 saw three pellets scooped up, one for each clan but IQ.

Turn 11 saw Elizabeth of the Soldier clan not only grab a pellet but make a 4 point jump ( With the help of a favor pellet).

Ed made a fine 4 point jump on turn 12.

Turn 13 was not lucky for Jake of the Vikings. He lingered near the edge for 2 turns, but his luck ran out and he was eaten.

Turn 14 was even worse for the Vikings as both Stuart and Perry were gobbled up on the same turn! There was some good news as Jake made a ‘Heroic Return’!

Not wanting to press his luck again, Jake took the 3 point jump on turn 15

On turn 18, Jennifer of the IQs make our first 5 point jump!

Turn 19 saw 2 divers. Ritzy Christine for 4 points and the Soldier Brian for a 3 pointer.

Turn 20 saw Robert make a return as his identity had been mistake for Ginger.

Unfortunately, poor Robert was eaten again on turn 22.

Turns 23 and 25 saw John and Dave both use their ‘it’s a 5’.

Game over on turn 26.

Another fun final, but not as close as some. The final tally was Mike Greason’s IQ Clan – 21, Kirk Harris’s Vikings – 13, Monica Gardner’s Ritz Clan – 13, and Scadeau D’Tela’s Army Clan – 15.
