Heat 1 had 2 tables. At the first table was Twitch (Keith Boone), Short Stack (Alyssa Bernard), Dangerous Doug (Doug Galullo) and The Viper (John Pack). Interestingly all the starting gangs were different. 4/1/3, 5/1/1, 5/1/2 and 5/1/3. The game was bloody and had to be adjudicated due to time. Twenty-five hits were inflicted! Dangerous Doug and Twitch each took 7 hits. The vamps were extremely busy dodging bullets as 15 gang members changed sides. Dangerous Doug was shooting with an actual water gun in the game as I managed to roll 10 thug rolls and hit nothing. Notable quotes during the game. Viper said, " I couldn't commit any crime!" Short Stack responded, "That's literally true of my vamp!" Short Stack's vamp must have been on vacation because she barely moved and wasn't producing money either. In the end Twitch managed a slim $8,200 cash victory over Short Stack and Dangerous Doug who both had 8 buildings.
Table 2 Had Scarface (Andy Gardner), The Roach (Ben Gardner), Nitro (Steve Munchak) and Tick Tock (Alan Arvold). This must have been a friendly game of Gangsters. Only 3 hits during the entire game? Nitro took all 3 hits. The police must have had that city locked down! The vamps were active as 11 gang members changed sides with Tick Tock and The Roach losing 4 each. In the end, The Roach prevailed with an economic victory.
Heat 2 had 3 tables. Table 1 had Dangerous Doug (Doug Galullo), Vodka n Cheese (Sarah Sparks), Short Stack (Alyssa Bernard) and Big Tuna (Tony Musella). Thugs were more interested in extorting than shooting as only 6 hits were recorded. Big Tuna targeted Dangerous Doug 7 of 10 turns leading to a regretful heated exchange. "Gang members ain't cheap!" The game came down to a bribe. Dangerous Doug had an upgraded Bus Station 2x. After moving the 3x Public into the Bus Station, Dangerous Doug collected a $1,800 pay off. On the next turn, Vodka n Cheese moved a cop into the Bus Station. After revealing a matching bribe token, and moving the cop back to its original position, the second $1,800 payoff was enough to secure the victory for Dangerous Doug.
Table 2 had Bobby Tweaks (Robert Buccheri), Scarface (Andy Gardner) and The Bagman (Scott Sirianni). Vamps moved gang members uniformly around. 2 from each player. Hits were another story. Bobby Tweaks took 7 hits. Scarface and The Bagman only took 3 combined hits. Scarface edged out The Bagman on money, $11,200 to $10,000.
Table 3 had Knuckles (Bob Woodson), Twitch (Keith Boone) and The Roach (Ben Gardner). No hits! The GM must make sure all guns are loaded prior to play. This game must have been fast because the vamps were relatively quiet. Each gang lost 1 member to seduction. The Roach crushed his opponents with a $13,300 cash victory.
Heat 3 had 2 Tables. Table 1 had Scarface (Andy Gardner), Itchy (Gordon Rodgers), Vodka n Cheese (Sarah Sparks), and Twitch (Keith Boone). The second bloodiest game during the heats. 24 hits were inflicted. Scarface pissed off someone because he absorbed 9 hits, the most in any heat game! Itchy prevailed on time with 8 joints. I would like to thank Gordon Rodgers, Itchy, at this time. He graciously bowed out so we didn't have an awkward number for a Semifinal. I actually nominated him for the Sportsman Award for doing so.
Table 2 had Ma (Rolinda Collinson), Bobby Tweaks (Robert Buccheri), The Viper (John Pack), and Ladykiller (Mark Love). Ma's vamp exited the board early, turn 2, as the cops sniffed her out. Apparently, the thugs were busy extorting as Ma took 3 hits, Ladykiller took 2 and Bobby Tweaks took 1. Vamps were relatively quiet this game too. Ma lost 2 and only 2 other gang members changed sides. In the end Bobby Tweaks won with a $600 red monopoly.
Final
Bobby Tweaks (Robert Buccheri), Scarface (Andy Gardner), The Roach (Ben Gardner) and Dangerous Doug (Doug Galullo) eyed each other from all corners of the board. All but Scarface had been in the same seats last year. The Final was bloody, the bloodiest game of all. 35 hits inflicted!! Bobby Tweaks took 10! Dangerous Doug and The Roach took 9. Scarface only took 7. Gang pieces left the board with regularity. 14 gang members were vamped. The streets were not safe! A highlight was when Bobby Tweaks sent a strength 1 thug to take out a joint of The Roach. He took out the joint and survived! In the end, Bobby Tweaks managed a second win with a $600 Red monopoly.
At the end, Bobby Tweak's rival gangs were barren gangs. The Roach had 3/1/2. Dangerous Doug had 3/1/0. Scarface had 0/1/0. Congratulations to Rob Buccheri on a well-earned victory! Thanks to all who played!
