The BPA is organized as a Non-Profit
Corporation, with its state of incorporation being South Carolina.
The BPA came into formal existence on December 8, 1998 when
its Articles of Incorporation were accepted for filing by the
South Carolina Secretary of State. The BPA was organized by
F. Scott Pfeiffer, an attorney practicing corporate law in Greenville,
SC, acting as Incorporator. His services have been provided
pro bono publico. As Incorporator, he elected nine initial Directors,
with terms of office through the year indicated below. Since
then, each class of three Directors is elected by vote of the
membership annually.
