Same Wolff garners laurels in 8 events to capture the 2025 Consul Award for most Laurels at the World Boardgaming Championships. Sam amassed 165 Laurels with wins in Azul, Euphrat & Tigris, Five Tribes, and Azul. Sam was also second in Saint Petersburg, fourth in Agricola and Wingspan, and a sixth in Beyond the Sun. An impressive list as these 8 events drew a total of 736 players.

Chad Martin, despite earning 22 Laurels less than the previous two years, finished second for a third straight year with 130 laurels, Chad scored laurels in 6 events including 1 first, 3 seconds, 1 fourth and 1 sixth. Ryan Feathers broke into the top 3 in 2025 with 124 laurels. Ryan managed 2 firsts, 1 second, 2 thirds and 2 fourths.

Rounding out the top ten were Alex Gregorio, David Schneider, Sceadeau D’Tela, Andrew Emerick, Ed Menzel, Jeff Meyer, and AJ Jiang. The two new BPA Board Members managed to crack the Top Ten. Only Chad Martin and Andrew Emerick returned from last year’s Top ten finishers.
