Your goal in this Martin Wallace design is to build cotton mills, coal mines, iron works, canals, railways, ports and shipyards in a sequence that will quickly score you the most points.

Preference is for 4-player games with 3-player games as necessary to complete any heat. Games are likely to be in short supply so please bring one if you have it. The winners of the three heats plus the best runners-up based on % of the winning score will be eligible to advance to a semifinal round of between two and four 4-player games. The Final will be a 4-player game of winners from the previous round plus as many runners-up as necessary to field four players.

A player's score in a heat is calculated as a percentage of the heat winning score plus 3/2/1/0 for finishing 1st/2nd/3rd/4th - so a heat winner will always score 4.00 and, for example, a player coming third with half the VPs of the winner would score 1.5. Qualifying score is the total of your best two scores.
