What? Euro Quest is a unique blend of tournaments and open gaming.

Why: Euro Quest provides a competitive forum for the play of popular "European" style boardgames in a focused, in-depth format not available elsewhere. All tournaments will be run to provide multiple opportunities to compete in the same game with a minimum of three preliminary heats preceding the elimination rounds.

The Tournaments to be included are: Thurn and Taxis, Caylus, Goa, Ra, Princes of Florence, Power Grid, Puerto Rico, Settlers of Catan, St. Petersburg, and Ticket to Ride Combo, along with the Hot New game for 2008: Race for the Galaxy. A Wild Card event including games such as: Age of Empires III, Alhambra, Blue Moon City, Can't Stop, Cuba, Imperial, Notre Dame, Pillars of the Earth, San Juan, Vegas Showdown, Yspahan, Agricola, Brass, Stone Age and a brand new title released at Essen to be announced November 1st, 2008.

BPA plaques will be awarded for each event and best overall individual performance - providing plenty of laurel opportunities for those who want to improve their standings in BPA's annual Caesar competition.

Open Gaming: Dedicated open gaming space will be provided in the main gaming hall during the entire duration of the convention.

Vendors: Z-Man Games, Canton Games and Our Game Table will be on hand, and gamers can expect to see some of the hottest new Euros fresh from Essen.

Where? The Days Hotel is located at 9615 Deerco Road, Baltimore, MD 21093. Phone: 800-235-3297 or 410-560-1000. Fax: 410-561-3918. It is off I-83 Exit 17, Padonia Road, about 3 miles south of Hunt Valley. (See map.) It is a half-mile walk from the Light Rail connection to BWI Airport, 4 blocks from Timonium Fairgrounds station, and BWI Airport Shuttle is available.

EuroQuest offers a convention special discounted rate of $79 per night, plus applicable taxes, until Nov. 1 or our room block sells out, whichever occurs first. (Regular weekend rates are $129 per night plus applicable taxes.) Mention "Euro Quest" when reserving your room. Room options include one king or two queen size beds with up to four persons per room. Reservations must be received no later than Nov. 1. Be advised: Days Hotel usually sells out prior to the deadline during Euro Quest week. Chili's restaurant is attached to the hotel and is open for lunch and dinner.

NOTE: Days Hotel will be undergoing renovations before and during Euro Quest VI. This means that we will be using completely renovated meeting space, but it also means that one floor of the hotel will be undergoing daytime construction during the event. This may pose noise problems for those attempting to sleep late near the floor in question.

In addition, due to construction delays during ongoing renovations at Days Hotel, we regret to inform all potential attendees to expect construction-related difficulties on site. Consequently, this year we will be unable to provide our attendees the customary degree of amenities they have come to expect at this facility during our stay. Specifically,

1. Upon arrival and departure, you will need to use the rear entrance of the hotel for access to both the lobby and gaming space.
2. Access to Chili's will require exit of the hotel to reach the main entrance for the restaurant.
3. Restroom access may be limited to the second floor.
4. Some overflow open gaming may be moved to suites on the top floor if necessary.

We appreciate your patience!

If the hotel is full, we advise that you book into one of our overflow hotels on our Regional Information page. We also provide information on restaurants within walking distance and other attractions in the area.
