A record turnout for our Annual December Membership Drive gave 23 old favorites another slot in our Tournament offerings for 2014 while admitting two new Euros: Tzolk'in and King of Tokyo. Trans America led the list of returnees with 321 votes although wargames claimed 15 of the 25 available Trial vote slots—depending on your definition of "wargame".

This brings the total number of eligible tournaments for 2014, excluding Junior events, to 134 as depicted on the Orphan's List. This number will likely increase by the addition of Vendor and Sponsor-supported events before the March 15 deadline. Qualifying events may also be replaced for lack of a GM commitment by that same deadline. Such replacements will be chosen from the list of alternate events for which we have an acceptable Event Form on hand.

Only those events for which we have a 2014 event form on hand from a current member of Sustaining level or above will be considered for use as replacements and recommended to potential sponsors. We thank everyone who participated in our annual membership Trial vote and thus helped fairly choose this year’s focused event fare.
