Teams are composed of any four players pre-registered as a team. Each team member must preregister for WBC and must select a different event as his or her official game. Team members and games may change only during
pre-registration. No changes may take place on-site.
The team name (be creative) may be a maximum of 21 characters, including spaces. If you would like to choose your own team logo (safer than letting the webmaster make one up), then attach it an email and send it to webmaster@boardgamers.org. Alternatively, provide context for your selected name.
To enter the Team Tournament, send an email with all of the details to conventiondirector@boardgamers.org by July 20. In case of conflicting entries, the last version received will be official.
During the period before the convention, teams will be ranked according to the odds-makers assessment of their chances. At the convention, teams often wear matching shirts on Friday to show their pride. Be sure to schedule a team photo with the WBC photographer!
All Team Points are awarded automatically when the GM turns in the Winner’s Claim for an event (see the Points Schedule). A bonus point will be awarded to everyone who earns team points in an event that they have previously not won. The team that gains the most points is the winner. The number of entrants in each team’s events is the tie-breaker.

A self-service scoring system keeps onlookers updated as the convention proceeds. All Team members, whether scoring or not, should post their point totals on the kiosk Standings Board near Ballroom Foyer as soon as possible. Official scoring takes place after the convention.
Each member of the winning team receives a Team plaque and is memorialized on the website and in the Yearbook.
