The BPA’s largest event is the annual World Boardgaming Championships® (WBC)
where about 1,500 people from around the world compete to be named champion of their favorite boardgames.

Competitions are scheduled in 160+ games consisting of the Century, Trial, and Sponsored events.
In addition, you will find open gaming, Juniors events, demonstrations, seminars, an auction, an auction store, vendors, and exhibitors. For details on the different types of events as well as event formats, classes, scheduling options, please visit our new Event Description page.

The new Trial Event Submission Form will be posted on October 31, 2024. Submission of both the Event Form and Preview (preferably in Word) to be included on the Trial Ballot are due between November 1, 2024 and November 25, 2024. The voting for Trial Events for WBC 2025 will occur during our initial Membeship Drive period from December 4, 2024 to January 31, 2025. To vote, complete the Membership Application, which includes the Trial Ballot for WBC 2025, and submit the form along with payment.

The new Century Event Submission Form will be posted on December 1, 2024. Submission of both the Event Form and Preview (preferably in Word) for WBC 2025 Century Events are due between December 4, 2024 and January 31, 2025. You must be a BPA member for 2025 to submit an event form for the Century Group events.

We hope you can participate! You need not be an expert player. 
While some WBC gaming events are for experienced players, many are designed for beginners or are coached for first-time players.
