STARTING POLE POSITIONS:

The layout of the track is such that the pole position is just 4 spaces from the first turn, allowing only Josh and Laurie to reach it on the 2nd turn of the race. Josh and Laurie surge ahead while all other racers roll into the first turn, except for the 8-9-10 cars. Going down the first straightaway, Carolyn pushes past Lurie to move into 2nd place. Five cars, (Josh, Carolyn, Patrick, Laurie, and Haakon) make it into Turn 2 with Laurie having to redline and Haakon incurring one point of body damage and redlining as well.

Five cars come roaring out of the turn, while all others enter it.

Josh, Laurie, Carolyn go into 6th gear to reach Turn 3 (Carolyn redlines) and the other 5 cars enter Turn 2. On the next turn, the three leaders negotiate the 2nd stop of Turn 3, while 4 cars enter the turn (Haakon incurs a 2nd point of body damage in the process) with Kelly, Rich, and Rod falling short. Josh and Laurie then make it into Turn 4, Carolyn falling short, all other racers being in Turn 3. This next turn has Josh and Laurie making the 2nd stop in turn 4, Carolyn enters Turn 4, Patrick inches into the turn as well on the inside lane and Matthew pulls up short of the turn behind Patrick. And here comes Haakon…..who enters into the middle lane and forces a double body check. Haakon manages to roll another one, causing his car his car to blow up, damaging both Patrick and Matthew and trashing two of the three lanes of turn 4!

Josh and Laurie roar into Turn 5, the rest of the pack makes their way through the devastation of turn 4.

Josh successfully reaches Turn 6 while Laurie falls short. Josh takes sole possession of 1st place.

Laurie, Carolyn, and Patrick enter Turn 6, all but Kelly roll into Turn 5. Josh reaches Turn 7 on the next turn, all other racers are in Turn 6 except for Kelly who makes it to Turn 5. Josh then roars out of Turn 7 in 5th gear, while Laurie, Carolyn, Patrick and Chris pull into Turn 7.

On the next turn, Josh goes to 6th gear and makes Turn 8, the next three enter the long straightaway, Patrick, Matthew and Rich enter Turn 7, Roderick falls short of Turn 7, Kelly falls short of Turn 6. Josh then successfully stops again in Turn 8, Laurie, Carolyn and Chris enter Turn 8, Patrick, Matthew and Rich enter the long straightaway, Roderick moves into Turn 7 and Kelly enter turn 6.

Josh elects to skip the pit but doesn’t reach Turn 1. Laurie and Chris were able to make their second stops in Turn 8 in 4th gear, Carolyn was not as fortunate, spinning out coming out the turn. Matthew, Patrick and Rich make it into Turn 8, Kelly enters Turn 7.

Josh, Laurie and Chris all reach Turn 1 (Josh has been caught!), and Carolyn, now in 1st gear, moves into the pit entrance. Laurie is the only one to reach Turn 2 (a new leader!!). Carolyn moves into the pits, all others negotiate Turn 8, except for Kelly, who hasn’t reached it yet.

Carolyn, Patrick, Matthew, and Rod enter Turn 1, Rod redlining to do so.

On the next turn, Josh and Chris reach Turn 2, Rich, Rod, and Patrick go in for pit stops. Kelly reaches turn 8. Next turn, Laurie, Josh, and Chris all then enter Turn 3 (no clear leader once again). Rich enters Turn 1, Carolyn, Patrick, Matthew, and Rod all fall short of Turn 2, Kelly pulls into the pits.

Laurie, Josh and Chris make 2nd stops in Turn 3, Carolyn, Patrick, Matthew, and Rod enter Turn 2, Rich falls short, Kelly enters Turn 1.

The three leaders reach Turn 4, next 4 reach the long straightaway, Rich and Kelly enter Turn 2. The three leaders then make 2nd stops in Turn 4, the next 4 enter turn 3, but Carolyn was forced over Haakon’s rubble from the first lap and she failed the suspension check. Kelly and Rich enter the straightaway.

Josh and Chris reach Turn 5, Laurie falls short. The next 4 all make 2nd stops in Turn 3, Kelly and Rich enter Turn 3. On the next turn, Chris reaches Turn 6, Josh falls short making Chris the new leader, while Laurie enters Turn 5. The next four enter Turn 4 (sort of). Carolyn is forced over the carnage from the previous lap and again fails the suspension check thereby causing her wheels to fall off!! Kelly and Rich make 2nd stops in Turn 3.

Chris makes his 2nd stop in Turn 6, Josh enters Turn 6, Laurie falls short. Rod enters Turn 5, Patrick and Matthew falling short, Kelly and Rich enter Turn 4. Chris then enters Turn 7, Josh stops again in Turn 6, Laurie and Rod enter Turn 6, Patrick and Matthew enter Turn 5, while Kelly and Rich fall short.

Chris enters the long straightaway, Josh enters Turn 7, Laurie and Rod make 2nd stops in Turn 6, Matthew enters Turn 6, and Patrick falls short, Kelly and Rich enter Turn 5.

Next turn, Chris falls short of Turn 8, Josh enters the straightaway, Laurie and Rod enter Turn 7, Matthew makes his 2nd Turn 6 stop, Patrick, Kelly, and Rich enter Turn 6. Josh redlines to catch Chris in Turn 8, Laurie and Rod enter the straightaway, Matthew enters Turn 7, , Patrick, Kelly, and Rich make 2nd stops in Turn 6.

Josh and Chris make 2nd stops in Turn 8, Rod enters Turn 8, Laurie falls short, Matthew enters the straightaway, Kelly and Rich enter Turn 7, and Patrick falls short. On the next turn. On the next turn, Josh once again skips the pit but doesn’t reach Turn 1, while Chris does turn into the pits. Rod makes his 2nd stop in Turn 8, Laurie and Matthew enter Turn 8 while Kelly and Rich enter the straightaway, and Patrick enters Turn 7.

Josh and Chris both enter Turn 1 (Josh redlines again), Rod pulls into pit lane but doesn’t reach his pit, Laurie and Matthew make 2nd stops in Turn 8, Kelly and Rich enter Turn 8, and Patrick enters the straightaway. Josh then enters Turn 2 with Chris falling short (Josh is the leader once again). Laurie, Matthew, and Rod pull into their pits, Kelly and Rich make 2nd stops in Turn 8, while Patrick enters Turn 8.

Josh enters the straightaway while Chris enters Turn 2, Rod, Laurie and Kelly (who skips the pits) all make Turn 1. Matthew falls short of Turn 1, Rich Pulls into the pits and Patrick makes his 2nd stop in Turn 8. Next turn, Chris catches Josh as they enter Turn 3 while Kelly makes it to Turn 2 in 6th gear with Rod and Laurie falling short. Matthew enters Turn 1 while Rich falls short. Patrick elects to skip the pit and makes Turn 1 but unfortunately blows his engine in a random engine check!

Josh and Chris make 2nd stops in Turn 3, Kelly exits Turn 2, Rod and Laurie enter Turn 2, Matthew exits Turn 1 while Rich enters turn 1. On the next turn Josh and Chris enter turn 4, Kelly enters turn 3, Rod and Laurie enter the straightaway, and Matthew reaches Turn 2, while Rich does not.

Josh and Chris make 2nd stops in Turn 4, Kelly makes 2nd stop in Turn 3, Rod and Laurie enter Turn 3, Matthew enters the straightaway, Rich enters Turn 2. Then Josh and Chris both makes Turn 5, Kelly makes Turn 4, Rod and Laurie make 2nd stops in Turn 3, Matthew enters Turn 3 and Rich enters the straightaway.

Josh redlines into Turn 6, Chris falls short, Kelly makes 2nd stop in Turn 4, Laurie makes Turn 4, Rod falls short. Matthew makes 2nd stop in Turn 3 and Rich falls short of Turn 3. Next turn, Josh makes 2nd stop in Turn 6, Chris enters Turn 6, Kelly enters Turn 5, Laurie makes 2nd stop in Turn 4, Rod and Matthew enter Turn 4, and Rich enters Turn 3.

Josh (the clear leader) enters Turn 7, Chris stops again in Turn 6, Kelly enters Turn 6, Laurie enters Turn 5, Rod enters Turn 4, Matthew makes 2nd stop in Turn 4, and Rich makes his 2nd stop in Turn 3. Next turn, Josh redlines into Turn 8 in 6th gear (Josh has now redlined 4 times in this lap – he built his car with 5 engine points!), Chris enters Turn 7, Kelly makes 2nd stop in Turn 6, Laurie enters Turn 6, Rod and Matthew enter Turns 5, and Rich enters Turn 4.

At this point, all conceded the Race to Josh as we were up against the time limit.

The final finish order was:
